AiR Green
Norske tekstilkunstnere NTK utlyser arbeidsopphold for kunstnere relatert til tekstil. NTK ønsker å skape en arena for fordypning og konsentrasjon, bidra til utvikling og synliggjøring av tekstilkunst og fremme kontakt mellom kunstnere med ulik tilnærming til tekstilfeltet. Alle profesjonelle kunstnere som arbeider med tekstile medier eller har et prosjekt relatert til tekstil kan søke; enten som enkeltperson eller gruppe.
Hver kunstner/gruppe får et stipend på kroner 10 000,- og reiseutgifter inntil kroner 3500,-. Kunstnerne har fri bolig og atelier. Prosjektet er støttet av Krødsherad kommune, Buskerud fylke, NTK og med utstyrsstøtte fra Kulturrådet.

Det er også anledning for enkeltkunstnere eller grupper å leie huset/atelier for kortere eller lengre perioder.
KUNSTNERE 2018
Alice Hualice
Søndre Green was my first residence. It was a very important trip for me, the purpose of which was to rethink a very important part of my work. I did not go to the residence with a specific project. My task was to study myself, as well as deal with the issue of the influence of the area in which I live, in my work. I had no plan, during the month I transformed space day by day. It was important for me not only to feel, but also to see the changing in my mood inside the residence. That is why my workshop changed. As a result, people saw my little world, created in one of the rooms of a beautiful house in which I lived. It was not a final work, rather a freeze frame, a frozen moment. I created a lot of objects, each of which carried a piece of me and my mood. I fixed all the stages of myself in a month and as a result I found the main answer to the question that was posed initially. I realized that the area where I live does not affect me, it's all about the person, not the environment.
It was a great time that filled me with a certain energy, which I will keep in myself for a very long time."

Martha Tuttle
Being at Søndre Green let me sink into my work in a way that felt full of an unusual grace. I loved sitting on the porch and watching the early morning light, weaving in the barn, looking for raspberries and spotting foxes. I loved being inspired by the fjord and the other artists in residence simultaneously. Between the surrounding countryside, and the beautiful balance between art and life that Kristin has made on the farm, it was a month of feeling continuously inspired and full. I look forward to seeing how the time on the farm affects my work in the present, and for many years to come.

Jag har valt att använda naturen som material och samarbetspartner, som ett försök på att få en bättre kännedom och förståelse av vår omgivning, och därmed om oss själva. Under min tid på Søndre Green gård tok jag därför utgångspunkt i den närliggande miljö. Bland annat med fotografiprojektet ”Ett sakta avsked”, där jag porträtterar organiska objekt som jag har lindat in i plastfilm.

Sommeren 2018 var jeg heldig å få kunstner opphold på AiR Green
Dette ble en spesiell mulighet til å prøve ut ulike tekstilmetoder.
Blant annet eksperimenterte jeg med grovt eget farget nylontau, på en selv bygget ramme vev. Og jeg tok i bruk en stor flatvev på en forenklet måte.
Atelier «Høytørka» i låven på Søndre Green ga et unikt lys innfall og bidro til fokus om arbeidsprosessene.
Kunstnerkolleger fra inn- og utland og dyktige drifter Kristin Lindberg, satte rammene for et faglig bra opphold.
Krøderen og et innbydende landskap omkring ga stadig sjanse for forfriskende bad og turer.
Tusen takk for en minnerik - og flott residensperiode!!
